This Privacy Policy explains what information LG Granite & Marble Countertops LLC (“LG Granite & Marble,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit lggraniteandmarble.com or request an estimate, how we use that information, and the choices you have.
The short version. We collect the contact details you type into our estimate form so we can call you back about your countertop project. We do not sell your personal information. We keep it as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing contact@lggraniteandmarble.com.
1. Who we are
LG Granite & Marble Countertops LLC is a family-owned countertop fabrication and installation company based in Newark, New Jersey, serving homeowners throughout North Jersey. We are the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit an estimate request through a form on this website, we collect only what the form asks for:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, where provided
- Your ZIP code
- What you are looking for (for example, kitchen countertops, replacement, granite, quartz, or marble)
- What stage your project is in
- Anything you choose to write in the free-text message field
You may also contact us by phone, text message, email, or WhatsApp. In that case we receive whatever information you choose to share in that conversation.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and the date and time. We use this to keep the site working and secure, not to build a profile of you.
Advertising and campaign information
Part of our website is used as a landing page for online advertising. If you arrive
from an ad, the link may carry campaign parameters — a Google click identifier
(gclid) and standard utm_source, utm_medium,
utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content values.
Your browser stores these values for the duration of your visit and, if you submit the
form, sends them along with your request. They tell us which ad or campaign your
enquiry came from. They do not identify you personally on their own.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set its own advertising or profiling cookies. The campaign parameters described above are kept in your browser's session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.
However, some features on our pages are provided by third parties, and those companies may set their own cookies or receive your IP address when the feature loads:
- Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces used on the site.
- Google Maps — powers the service-area map embed.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — where enabled, measure how the site is used and whether an ad led to an enquiry.
- WhatsApp — only if you click the WhatsApp button, which opens a conversation in WhatsApp's own service.
Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage Google's advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com. Blocking third-party cookies will not stop you from using the site or from contacting us.
Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because no common standard for honoring them has been adopted.
4. How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Contact you about the estimate or project you asked us about;
- Schedule and carry out an on-site measurement and, if you hire us, the work itself;
- Prepare and send you a quote, and answer your questions;
- Keep records of jobs, quotes, and communications as required for our business and taxes;
- Understand which advertising campaigns bring us genuine enquiries, so we do not waste money on ones that do not;
- Protect the website against spam and abuse;
- Comply with the law.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
5. We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our customer or enquiry lists. If we ever enable advertising features that some privacy laws treat as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, you can opt out using the Google Ads settings linked above or by contacting us directly.
6. Calls, texts, and emails
By submitting an estimate request, you are asking us to get in touch, and you agree that we may contact you by phone call, text message (SMS), or email at the details you provided, about that request and your project. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing anything from us. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by calling (973) 393-3180 or emailing contact@lggraniteandmarble.com.
We do not send marketing newsletters from this website, and we will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join.
7. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with parties that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Our web host, which stores the website and its server logs;
- Our email provider, which delivers your estimate request to our inbox and carries our reply;
- The website and advertising tools named in Section 3, in the limited ways described there;
- Subcontractors or suppliers, where your project genuinely requires it — for example, a stone supplier needs the measurements, not your phone number;
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant or an attorney, where necessary;
- Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose information, or where we need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If our business is ever sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep estimate requests for as long as needed to respond to them and to follow up on an active project. Records connected to work we actually performed — contracts, invoices, and measurements — are kept for as long as our tax, warranty, and legal obligations require. Enquiries that never turn into a project are deleted once they are no longer useful to us. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see Section 9.
9. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- Stop contacting you, entirely or by a particular method;
- Receive a copy of the information you gave us in a portable format.
New Jersey residents. The New Jersey Data Privacy Act gives you rights to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. You may also appeal if we decline a request; our response will explain how.
Residents of other states. If your state grants similar rights — for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, or Virginia — we will honor them on the same terms. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email contact@lggraniteandmarble.com or call (973) 393-3180. We may need to verify who you are before acting, so that we do not hand your details to someone else. We aim to respond within 45 days.
10. Security
Our website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to the inbox that receives estimate requests is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please do not send us payment card numbers, bank details, or government identification numbers through the website form.
11. Links to other websites
Our pages link to services we do not control, including Google Maps, WhatsApp, and our social media profiles. Once you follow one of those links, this policy no longer applies, and the destination's own privacy policy governs what happens to your information.
12. Children's privacy
This website is meant for homeowners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top tells you when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear on this page.
